This Privacy Policy explains how Another Level Games ("We", "Us", "Our") collects, uses and protects Your information when You use Our website and Our games. We are based in the United Kingdom and process personal data in line with the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR (where applicable) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1. Definitions

  • Company refers to Another Level Games.
  • Games means Monkey Bunch, Lethal Ape: Pocket Edition (published as "Lethal Ape" on Google Play) and Plop Art. References to Lethal Ape: Pocket Edition cover both versions.
  • Website means anotherlevelgames.co.uk.
  • Service means the Website and the Games together.
  • Personal Data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable individual.
  • Service Provider means a third party that processes data on Our behalf (listed in Section 4).
  • UGC means User-Generated Content, such as custom pictures and levels created and shared by players.
  • You means the individual using the Service.

2. Information We Collect

Monkey Bunch

  • Meta Quest account data: Your Meta user ID and username, used to sign You in, identify You in multiplayer and store Your progress and items.

Lethal Ape: Pocket Edition

  • IP address: collected by Our backend to connect You to game servers and to protect accounts (e.g. detecting abuse or unauthorised access).
  • Device ID: used for account security.
  • Advertising ID: only if targeted advertising is enabled.
  • Apple / Google account sign-in: used only to authenticate You. We do not collect any other data from these accounts.
  • Advertising data: such as ads shown, ad interactions and ad watch time, collected by Unity Ads to deliver and measure ads.

Plop Art

  • IP address: collected via PlayFab when You connect to Our services.
  • Advertising ID: only if targeted advertising is enabled.
  • Apple / Google account sign-in: used only to authenticate You. We do not collect any other data from these accounts.
  • Advertising data: such as ads shown, ad interactions and ad watch time, collected by Unity Ads to deliver and measure ads.
  • User-Generated Content: custom pictures and levels You create and share via mod.io, which other players can view and play.

Website

  • Contact information: such as Your email address if You contact Us for support.
  • Hosting: the Website is hosted on Our own servers and served through Cloudflare. We do not run analytics or tracking on the Website.
  • Cloudflare network data: as Our CDN and security provider, Cloudflare automatically processes technical data for every request, such as Your IP address, browser/user agent, requested URL, referrer, timestamp and approximate location derived from Your IP. This is used to deliver the Website, protect it from attacks and bots, and keep it performing well.

3. How and Why We Use Your Information

  • To provide the Games — sign-in, saving progress and items, matchmaking and multiplayer. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
  • To keep accounts and the Service secure — preventing cheating, fraud and abuse. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
  • To show ads in Lethal Ape: Pocket Edition and Plop Art. Personalised (targeted) ads are only shown with Your consent. Legal basis: consent (targeted ads) / legitimate interests (non-targeted ads).
  • To measure ad performance through Unity Ads' advertising analytics. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
  • To host and share UGC in Plop Art. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
  • To respond to support requests and legal obligations. Legal basis: legitimate interests / legal obligation.

We do not include any time-tracking analytics in Our Games — We do not track how long You play, session lengths or Your in-game activity over time. The only time-related data is ad watch time, collected by Unity Ads to deliver and measure ads.

We do not sell, rent or trade Your Personal Data to anyone. Data is only shared with the Service Providers listed in Section 4, solely so they can provide their services to Us.

5. Advertising Choices

Lethal Ape: Pocket Edition and Plop Art both let You turn targeted advertising off at any time from within the game. When it is off, You may still see ads, but they will not be personalised using Your Advertising ID. You can also reset or limit Your Advertising ID in Your device settings (iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking; Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads).

We do not use cookies. The Website sets no cookies of its own, and We do not use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies.

Cloudflare may place strictly necessary security cookies (such as __cf_bm or cf_clearance) when it needs to detect bots or verify that a visitor is human. These are set by Cloudflare, not Us, are not used to track You across sites, and are covered by Cloudflare's privacy and cookie policies linked in Section 4.

7. User-Generated Content

Content You publish in Plop Art via mod.io is visible to other players. Please don't include personal information in Your creations. We and mod.io may remove content that breaks Our Terms of Service.

8. Data Retention

We keep Personal Data only for as long as Your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, keep it secure, and meet legal obligations. When You ask Us to delete Your account, We will delete or anonymise Your data, except where We must keep it by law.

9. International Transfers

Our Service Providers may process data outside the UK and EEA (for example, in the United States). Where this happens, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

10. Your Rights

Under UK and EU data protection law, You have the right to:

  • Access the Personal Data We hold about You
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of Your data
  • Restrict or object to processing
  • Data portability
  • Withdraw consent at any time (e.g. by turning off targeted ads)

To exercise any of these rights, email support@anotherlevelgames.co.uk. We will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

11. Children's Privacy

Our Games are not directed at children under 13, and We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from children under 13. If You are a parent or guardian and believe Your child has provided Us with Personal Data, please contact Us and We will delete it.

12. Disclosure of Your Data

We may disclose Personal Data where required by law, to protect the rights, property or safety of the Company, Our players or the public, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets (in which case We will notify You before Your data becomes subject to a different policy).

13. Security

All Personal Data We hold is stored encrypted, either in Our own backends or within the Service Providers that host it (such as PlayFab, Photon and mod.io), and is encrypted in transit. While We take these measures to protect Your data, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
